The History of Anthuriums in the Caribbean

Anthurium, is a genus of about 1000 species of flowering plants, the largest genus of the arum family, Araceae. General common names include anthurium, tailflower, flamingo flower, and laceleaf.For over 100 years the flower has been grown under trees and within cooca plantations and in forested areas. There were varying shades of pink and white.
